In the 25+ years I have been a practicing psychotherapist I have worked extensively with individuals struggling with life transitions, attachment issues, depression, anxiety, bereavement, trauma and adoption.  I also specialize in working with cross-cultural conflict and resolving creative blocks.

My approach to psychotherapy is eclectic, resulting from years of experience and training in various modalities.  I have found that some Gestalt techniques integrate very naturally into my clinical work, using a psycho-dynamic, Jungian framework.

Another  influence on my clinical work is my background as a classical pianist and chamber musician. Through music I have experienced the depth and importance of nonverbal communication, which in turn has led me to a deep connection to Sandplay therapy,  a nonverbal technique I use as an adjunct to talking therapy.
